Eugênio Paiva started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Niceto Ihazintu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Moisés Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A nice corner shot did that Fernando Hierro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Moisés Novaes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Niceto Ihazintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Niceto Ihazintu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Moisés Novaes made a huge save. Niceto Ihazintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moisés Novaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head. JFSP's Moisés Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto Ihazintu got free with Moisés Novaes in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Caatiba MZC's Niceto Ihazintu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moisés Novaes. That made the score 2-0 after 21 minutes of play. Moisés Novaes made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Niceto Ihazintu sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. JFSP's Moisés Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save JFSP from getting a goal against them. Niceto Ihazintu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moisés Novaes having to make a save. Caatiba MZC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaby Milito in the 35th minute. Caatiba MZC's Gaby Milito was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Moisés Novaes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, JFSP's Moisés Novaes got control of the ball when Niceto Ihazintu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Moisés Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 42nd minute of play. Moisés Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Linhares in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 48th minute of play forced JFSP's goalkeeper Moisés Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niceto Ihazintu was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niceto Ihazintu in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moisés Novaes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Niceto Ihazintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moisés Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, JFSP's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Ihazintu came free, but Moisés Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niceto Ihazintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moisés Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, JFSP's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Ihazintu came free, but Moisés Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Fernando Hierro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but JFSP's Moisés Novaes did a great save. Rodriguinho Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Nuno Mattos notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of JFSP's Moisés Novaes. Moisés Novaes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 94th match minute, Caatiba MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Hierro to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Caatiba MZC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
