Elderslie Magpies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steven Chaptal was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of 『挑战者』〓兄弟〓 铁血断魂♚BRO♚ booed when Elderslie Magpies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Odd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elderslie Magpies's Ovidio Etxekopar got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in 『挑战者』〓兄弟〓 铁血断魂♚BRO♚'s zone, Sam Mccartan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 贺杰兴 came out of the goal and Sam Mccartan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 胡杰荣 kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 胡杰荣 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The 『挑战者』〓兄弟〓 铁血断魂♚BRO♚ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Elderslie Magpies had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
