The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Bogdan Bambas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bogdan Bambas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karaelmas's Birdal Işıldar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Bambas in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isa Günyol in the 17th minute of play forced Karaelmas's goalkeeper Birdal Işıldar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Ahmet Rıfat Özonder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Karaelmas's goal looked a bit too open when Isa Günyol came free, but Birdal Işıldar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's Bogdan Bambas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birdal Işıldar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karaelmas's goalkeeper Birdal Işıldar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Bogdan Bambas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Birdal Işıldar. Karaelmas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Bambas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 35th play minutes Bogdan Bambas shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Birdal Işıldar and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Bambas in the 39th minute of play forced Karaelmas's goalkeeper Birdal Işıldar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Karaelmas's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Bambas came free, but Birdal Işıldar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bogdan Bambas in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Birdal Işıldar saved Karaelmas from getting behind. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karaelmas's goalkeeper Birdal Işıldar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rdth minute of the game Bogdan Bambas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karaelmas's Birdal Işıldar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute of the match BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 got a corner. Karaelmas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karl-Johan Fors ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's corner Karl-Johan Fors fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Birdal Işıldar quite easily take care of the ball. If Isa Günyol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Bogdan Bambas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Birdal Işıldar made a huge save. 53 minutes into the game, Karaelmas's Çağan Mürsel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Özgün Kamber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Ahmet Rıfat Özonder made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's Karl-Johan Fors. Karaelmas's Birdal Işıldar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Karaelmas from getting a goal against them. After 61 minutes, Isa Günyol made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Karaelmas's Birdal Işıldar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A well-hit corner resulted in Alesandro Nesta heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 72nd minute, BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's Gürsel Durusoy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Birdal Işıldar. Birdal Işıldar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. Gürsel Durusoy did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-9 to the left of a surprised Birdal Işıldar 89 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gürsel Durusoy in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Birdal Işıldar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gürsel Durusoys short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Birdal Işıldar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Isa Günyol kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
