Holger Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Thamthada Zamanopoulos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilbert Fanström. Republic of Jämtland's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gilbert Fanström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 10 minutes of play, AIK FOTBOLL's Braulio Castel made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilbert Fanström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gert Haeger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Haeger in the 18th minute of play forced Republic of Jämtland's goalkeeper Gilbert Fanström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fritz Pilgren kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, AIK FOTBOLL's Gert Haeger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilbert Fanström. Gilbert Fanström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Fritz Pilgren got his second yellow card in the match during the 29th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Republic of Jämtland's Fritz Pilgren got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gilbert Fanström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blagojče Michalashvili in the 34th minute. Gert Haeger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gilbert Fanström came out and tried to block the shot, but Gert Haeger slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 36th minute. After 41 minutes, Marcus Gustafsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Republic of Jämtland and the AIK FOTBOLL players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Republic of Jämtland's Marcus Gustafsson got a free kick in the 41st minute. Braulio Castel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilbert Fanström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blagojče Michalashvili, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Gilbert Fanström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braulio Castel's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Gilbert Fanström was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Gert Haeger capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gert Haeger really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

AIK FOTBOLL's Manfred Blomkvist was substituted for Victor Valenzuela. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kasper Juhlin made a kick off. Gilbert Fanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Hammarström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilbert Fanström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Haeger, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Billy Palmquist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Republic of Jämtland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AIK FOTBOLL the free kick. After 56 played minutes Republic of Jämtland got a freekick which was hit by Billy Palmquist. Gilbert Fanström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Castel in the 57th minute of play. Kasper Juhlin's late challenge caught a AIK FOTBOLL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kasper Juhlin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Kasper Juhlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gert Haeger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gilbert Fanström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilbert Fanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Castel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Braulio Castel took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilbert Fanström. Gilbert Fanström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Gert Haeger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Fanström having to interfere. Gilbert Fanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert Haeger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 minutes, Braulio Castel made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Republic of Jämtland's Gilbert Fanström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute, Braulio Castel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Braulio Castel in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilbert Fanström saved Republic of Jämtland from getting behind. 85 minutes into the game, Gert Haeger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Gilbert Fanström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Manfred Blomkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AIK FOTBOLL fully deserved thier win.
