Spectators: 151 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Himna FF's Mats Brodin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Conny Deckbergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börge Forss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Arvidsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 7 played minutes Höglunda IK got a freekick which was hit by Arvin Sander. Mats Brodin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Klas Källberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ian Abrahamsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conny Deckbergh's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Börge Forss skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Börge Forss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Hansson in the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Himna FF getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Felix Larsson hit a great ball. Ulf Arvidsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Börge Forss read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Börge Forss made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andy Hansson in the 29th minute. Börge Forss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Himna FF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Andy Hansson scored to the left of an out of position Börge Forss, making the score, 1-0. Himna FF's Börge Forss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Skröder in the 43rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Ulf Arvidsson took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Börge Forss to make any attempt to save it. Ulf Arvidsson hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulf Arvidsson made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Arvidsson in the 52nd minute of play forced Himna FF's goalkeeper Börge Forss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ulf Arvidsson came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Höglunda IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Arvidsson couldn't finish the play. Börge Forss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Arvidsson in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conny Deckbergh in the 84th minute of play forced Himna FF's goalkeeper Börge Forss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Börge Forss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Deckbergh in the 86th minute of play. Ulf Arvidsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börge Forss having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Höglunda IK got a freekick which was hit by Torgny Snell. There was no doubt that Höglunda IK were the better team. Höglunda IK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
