The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Sävedalen's goalkeeper Arne Åkesson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richarlison de Andrade. With his leg Arne Åkesson managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Henley Utd's Richarlison de Andrade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sävedalen's Arne Åkesson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Sävedalen from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, Sävedalen's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Lund came free, but Arne Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17 played minutes Sävedalen got a freekick which was hit by Filiph Bergqvist. The supporters of Sävedalen booed when Henley Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Lund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Simon Ahlén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Sävedalen's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Van Hoojdonk came free, but Arne Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Blixt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Danielsson in the 32nd minute of the match. Mark Blixt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Tingberg in the 43rd minute of play.

Arne Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Lund, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute Richarlison de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Åkesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richarlison de Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arne Åkesson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Richarlison de Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. Markus Åkesson kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Elmer de Jong, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Evert Wahlström fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sävedalen's protests and gave Evert Wahlström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Evert Wahlström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richarlison de Andrade in the 71st minute of play forced Sävedalen's goalkeeper Arne Åkesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Johannes Lund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Arne Åkesson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sävedalen's Arne Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richarlison de Andrade in the 92nd minute of play. Henley Utd were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
