Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Lucian Neagoe started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of FC Ruscova booed when Champions Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Ghimiș didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Champions Iasi's Edgar Drumeș got a free kick in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionică Grădinaru in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marian Novăceanu saved FC Ruscova from getting behind. When FC Ruscova's Lucian Neagoe in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Champions Iasi's goalie prevented a goal. Marian Novăceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Grădinaru in the 16th minute of play. FC Ruscova's Andrei Victor got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 played minutes FC Ruscova got a freekick which was hit by Anton Buhoiu. Marian Novăceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Mercescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Grigore Albulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Mercescu. In the 34th minute Adam Ghimiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Novăceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Ruscova's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Alexandru Mercescu scored to the left of an out of position Marian Novăceanu, making the score, 1-0. In the 40th minute, Grigore Albulescu made a precise shot to the right of Marian Novăceanu. FC Ruscova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandru Mercescu got free with Marian Novăceanu in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Ruscova's Marian Novăceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ruscova from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ionică Grădinaru made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes FC Ruscova got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Oneț. Ionică Grădinaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marian Novăceanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Marian Novăceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Grădinaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 62 minutes into the game, one of Champions Iasi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mugurel Godeanu had in the 64thth minute some difficulties stopping Vintilă Miclescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Aurelian Bărcăuan fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ruscova's protests and gave Aurelian Bărcăuan a yellow card for diving instead. Aurelian Bărcăuan hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Adam Ghimiș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vintilă Miclescu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Leontin Hâldan hit a great ball. Aurelian Bărcăuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Grigore Albulescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Champions Iasi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 84 minutes, Edgar Drumeș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Champions Iasi and the FC Ruscova players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Edgar Drumeș hit a great ball. Grigore Albulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Champions Iasi's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
