Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Horaţiu Ştefulescu started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Emil Banciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Lobonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Zbora in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match Buffalo Timişoara got a corner. Stiinta-Univ.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Orhan Ortanca ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Buffalo Timişoara's Franky Ooms slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bogdan Lobonț. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 14th minute, Buffalo Timişoara's Adrian Zbora dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. With a little luck, Stiinta-Univ.'s Bogdan Lobonț got control of the ball when Augusto Benitez tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Marcel Bărcăuan hit a great ball. Bogdan Lobonț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Zbora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Mihail Juverdeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stiinta-Univ.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buffalo Timişoara the free kick. In the 24thth minute of the game Augusto Benitez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stiinta-Univ.'s Bogdan Lobonț was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bogdan Lobonț stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Benitez's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Bogdan Lobonț successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Buffalo Timişoara's Augusto Benitez managed to work through Stiinta-Univ.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Augusto Benitez dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 30 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Benitez came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Banciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Benitez got free with Bogdan Lobonț in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Bogdan Lobonț had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franky Ooms. 35 minutes into the game, Franky Ooms recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bogdan Lobonț. Franky Ooms showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Franky Ooms received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bogdan Lobonț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Marcel Bărcăuan got a free kick in the 39th minute. Adrian Zbora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Lobonț read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Franky Ooms charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franky Ooms the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Stiinta-Univ. booed when Buffalo Timişoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franky Ooms didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Augusto Benitez made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute Augusto Benitez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd match minute, Buffalo Timişoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rahman Attar to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Cuculeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buffalo Timişoara were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Stiinta-Univ.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Orhan Ortanca took the corner. In the 61st minute Augusto Benitez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Buffalo Timişoara's Franky Ooms nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogdan Lobonț made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Emanuel Băieșu kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Buffalo Timişoara made a substitution. Vali Voicescu replaced Orhan Ortanca. Valentin Voicu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Lobonț read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Buffalo Timişoara made a substitution. Maxim Pintilie replaced Magno Dantas. After 78 minutes, Valentin Voicu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buffalo Timişoara and the Stiinta-Univ. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 minutes of play, Buffalo Timişoara's Augusto Benitez made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Lobonț was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Banciu in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Lobonț saved Stiinta-Univ. from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Benitez came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Lobonț came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Buffalo Timişoara's Augusto Benitez. But to his dismay, Augusto Benitez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Bogdan Lobonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Zbora in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matei Giosu to maneuver through the defense. In the 94thth minute of the game Adrian Zbora who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stiinta-Univ.'s Bogdan Lobonț was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Voicu came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Buffalo Timişoara walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
