Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Cătălin Simuţ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Ciomag in the 3rd minute of the match. Narcis Agachi hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the game, Marin Gavrilă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balavanis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C CLUJ MEDICINA the free kick. In the 7th match minute, Balavanis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Gavrilă to maneuver through the defense. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Alexandru Săvulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Narcis Agachi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Balavanis's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Ciomag came free, but Cătălin Simuţ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match F.C CLUJ MEDICINA got a corner. Balavanis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leontin Teodoreanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Balavanis's Cătălin Simuţ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Agachi in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Ciomag in the 22nd minute of play forced Balavanis's goalkeeper Cătălin Simuţ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Alexandru Săvulescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cătălin Simuţ. Balavanis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandru Săvulescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After having played for 27 minutes, Nae Groșan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balavanis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nae Groșan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Bogdan Lobonț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Basarab in the 32nd minute of play. Nae Groșan hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Alexandru Săvulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marin Gavrilă hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Leontin Teodoreanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cătălin Simuţ. Balavanis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandru Săvulescu was the one to do the kick off. Nichifor Gugea kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Ştefan Şimoc lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 54 minutes into the game, one of Balavanis:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cătălin Simuţ went to the wrong direction when Alexandru Săvulescu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Balavanis's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Ciomag came free, but Cătălin Simuţ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cătălin Simuţ came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Laurențiu Ciomag. But to his dismay, Laurențiu Ciomag quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Coporan in the 66th minute of play forced Balavanis's goalkeeper Cătălin Simuţ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Narcis Agachi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Simuţ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandru Săvulescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cătălin Simuţ came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexandru Săvulescu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 73rd minute. Cătălin Simuţ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandru Săvulescu's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Marin Gavrilă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balavanis's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Gavrilă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Lobonț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Săvulescu in the 83rd minute of play forced Balavanis's goalkeeper Cătălin Simuţ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Dragoş Coporan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 86th minute, Cristinel Tapalagă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laurențiu Ciomag hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Narcis Agachi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 99 minutes into the match, Balavanis's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Săvulescu came free, but Cătălin Simuţ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Balavanis fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
