Bernard Piszczor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliks Haszczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Aureliusz Dlugi fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Radarowcy Szczecin's protests and gave Aureliusz Dlugi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Radarowcy Szczecin's Aureliusz Dlugi got a free kick in the 8th minute. Bernard Piszczor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliks Haszczak in the 11th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Śląsk Bytom's goalkeeper Piotr Gecionis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomasz Gongola. Bernard Piszczor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliks Haszczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roman Pasterski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Piotr Gecionis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Śląsk Bytom getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Feliks Haszczak hit a great ball. With his leg Piotr Gecionis managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Radarowcy Szczecin's Gwidon Fetor fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alfred Nocny charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfred Nocny the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Śląsk Bytom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Nocny to maneuver through the defense. Piotr Gecionis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Roman Pasterski. After the first half Śląsk Bytom were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Fetor in the 67th minute of play forced Śląsk Bytom's goalkeeper Piotr Gecionis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Śląsk Bytom's zone, Gwidon Fetor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piotr Gecionis came out of the goal and Gwidon Fetor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Piotr Gecionis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomasz Gongola in the 74th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Śląsk Bytom defense, Gwidon Fetor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Piotr Gecionis. The Śląsk Bytom fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piotr Gecionis should have stopped the shot. Aureliusz Grucza's late challenge caught a Śląsk Bytom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliusz Grucza helped the player get up and apologised. Aureliusz Grucza hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Roch Betonowy struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Bernard Piszczor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Śląsk Bytom. When Radarowcy Szczecin's Tomasz Gongola in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Śląsk Bytom's goalie prevented a goal. Śląsk Bytom's Piotr Gecionis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Fetor in the 89th minute of play.
