The audience was convinced that Marcin Kordalewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hudson de Carvalho was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, MZetowe Mastodonty's Ziemowit Klejnowski threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fahl Figueroa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ziemowit Klejnowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Augustyn in the 35th minute of the match. Czeslaw Gdowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ziemowit Klejnowski having to make a save. In the 39th minute, Wit Bartocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Czeslaw Gdowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hudson de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Niedzwiecki in the 48th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aleksander Gejda to make the kick off.
