But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zlatan Videlov couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdek Kesa in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Uudo Mure had to leave the field with a concussion. Fabian Krinke's late challenge caught a SK Kalev Pärnu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Krinke helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Krinke to maneuver through the defense. Janno Trump received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. August Hoffmanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zlatan Videlov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Janno Trump sped through Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of August Hoffmanns. 70 minutes into the match, Janno Trump had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Janno Trump was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. In the 90th minute Erkan Fostiropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Laev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 played minutes SK Kalev Pärnu got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Mendonça. Lennart Laev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erkan Fostiropoulos in the 95th minute of the match.
