He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Åsnes reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 53 minutes, Esben Misting mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Falkenberg and the Åsnes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Åsnes booed when FC Falkenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esben Misting didn't get a good kick on the ball. Janick Hestehauge lost his temper 96 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 96th minute, one of FC Falkenberg:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Falkenberg. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see FC Falkenberg lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
