Sydney Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mattæus Bøtner made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Lee Walton sent off a good shot on target. Rowan Tylers short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Mattæus Bøtner to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Mattæus Bøtner managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when T H F C's Rowan Tyler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sydney Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorfinn Ranhauge in the 40th minute of play. Skellerup FC's Mattæus Bøtner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reg Pyrah in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reg Pyrah to make the kick off.
