Ermanno Donatelli made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Toufik Loir sent off a good shot on target. Alix Geoffray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Benvenuto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anfilogino Benvenuto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alix Geoffray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Bakary Guinaudeau kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Rathmore Lime Tree booed when AC Morena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Biagio Giacomini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Toufik Loir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rathmore Lime Tree's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toufik Loir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AC Morena's Ermanno Valeri suffered a concussion in the 19th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Brandon Pardon fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rathmore Lime Tree's protests and gave Brandon Pardon a yellow card for diving instead. AC Morena made a substitution. Bernardo Gallo replaced Ermanno Valeri. The supporters of AC Morena booed when Rathmore Lime Tree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brandon Pardon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Anfilogino Benvenuto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alix Geoffray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to AC Morena getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Anfilogino Benvenuto hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Anfilogino Benvenuto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alix Geoffray was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Anfilogino Benvenuto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray. Alix Geoffray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anfilogino Benvenuto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alix Geoffray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Benvenuto in the 40th minute of play. Concetto Curti hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in AC Morena's zone, Yves Robinet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermanno Donatelli came out of the goal and Yves Robinet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Rathmore Lime Tree defense, Anfilogino Benvenuto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alix Geoffray. The Rathmore Lime Tree fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alix Geoffray should have stopped the shot. After the first half AC Morena were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yves Robinet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bakary Guinaudeau hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Concetto Curti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alix Geoffray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alix Geoffray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Benvenuto in the 72nd minute of play. Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Curti in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Rathmore Lime Tree getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Bakary Guinaudeau hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Rathmore Lime Tree's goal looked a bit too open when Anfilogino Benvenuto came free, but Alix Geoffray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Anfilogino Benvenuto took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Alix Geoffray to make any attempt to save it.
