In the 3rdth minute of the game Fausto Preuss who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saronida FC's Tasos Brizolakos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Saronida FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Kyriakos Fragoulis hit a great ball. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coriano FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nikos Loverdos was slow to take the kick. During this time Saronida FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Saronida FC's Nikos Loverdos to fire away a dangerous shot which Beppe Falasca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 15 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Vouzounerakis. Damiano Di Rocco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Coriano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fondas Nebegleras came free, but Beppe Falasca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Preuss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tasos Brizolakos having to make a save. 20 minutes into the match, Comunardo Foni notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Saronida FC's Tasos Brizolakos. Tasos Brizolakos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Fausto Preuss's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tasos Brizolakos was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Adriano Zoccolo charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano Zoccolo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Coriano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Zoccolo to maneuver through the defense. Beppe Falasca made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Nikos Loverdos sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyriakos Fragoulis in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beppe Falasca saved Coriano FC from getting behind. Cosimo Picozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Zinon Stratis put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Beppe Falasca. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Saronida FC's Benito Daneri was substituted for Vladimiros Karezis. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Preuss to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Coriano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zinon Stratis came free, but Beppe Falasca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zinon Stratis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saronida FC's Christos Periou was substituted for Zinon Stratis. The Saronida FC fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Saronida FC's Fondas Nebegleras looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Coriano FC's Beppe Falasca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyriakos Fragoulis in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coriano FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christos Periou was slow to take the kick. During this time Saronida FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Saronida FC's Christos Periou to fire away a dangerous shot which Beppe Falasca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Fausto Preuss came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Coriano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Preuss couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, Coriano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fondas Nebegleras came free, but Beppe Falasca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Coriano FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Cosimo Picozzi hit a great ball. Coriano FC's Arrigo Di Silvio was substituted for Cosimo Picozzi. The supporters of Saronida FC booed when Coriano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosimo Picozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beppe Falasca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christos Periou in the 94th minute of the match.
