Anartz Naranjo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Zarco in the 2nd minute of play. After 3 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Dantas. In the 6th minute Nàstic de Tarragona were awarded a corner. Pepito Reyes went to the cornerflag to take it. Evelio Horado's late challenge caught a Minho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evelio Horado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Minho FC booed when Nàstic de Tarragona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Horado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquilino Zarco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Nàstic de Tarragona's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Zarco came free, but Anartz Naranjo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anartz Naranjo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hildeberto Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Nàstic de Tarragona booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hildeberto Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Hildeberto Vieira hit a great ball. Nàstic de Tarragona's Pepito Reyes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Maurício Guerreiro but with some difficulty. 23 minutes into the match, Minho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Feal came free, but Maurício Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Juvenal Feal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Nàstic de Tarragona getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Juvenal Feal hit a great ball. Anartz Naranjo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Zarco, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Nàstic de Tarragona's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Zarco came free, but Anartz Naranjo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Facundo Lastras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nàstic de Tarragona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Facundo Lastras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquilino Zarco was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute, Hildeberto Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 played minutes, Nàstic de Tarragona's Pepito Reyes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maurício Guerreiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nàstic de Tarragona reached it. Aquilino Zarco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Anartz Naranjo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Nàstic de Tarragona got a freekick which was hit by Pepito Reyes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquilino Zarco got free with Anartz Naranjo in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maurício Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Lupu in the 74th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Aquilino Zarco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anartz Naranjo. Aquilino Zarco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Raimundo Valente made in the 89th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aquilino Zarco however managed to control. Anartz Naranjo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquilino Zarco in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jordão Figueiredo hit a great ball. When the match was over Minho FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nàstic de Tarragona throughout the match.
