Jurjen Ieberink was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paul-Louis Van Mechelen. In the 39thth minute of the game Edwin Wisgerhof who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andries Van Mechelen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Wisgerhof in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Jacco van Dartel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andries Van Mechelen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paul-Louis Van Mechelen to strike the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Jacco van Dartel in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by YR Mechelen's Maurice Van Mechelen. In the 61st match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurice Van Mechelen to maneuver through the defense. Jacco van Dartel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, No Shit!! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacco van Dartel to maneuver through the defense. Edwin Wisgerhofs short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Andries Van Mechelen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
