After 5 minutes of play, De Pelgrims's Elbert Spanjer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sándor Szabó was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sándor Szabó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elbert Spanjer in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elbert Spanjer in the 11th minute of play forced FC Budapest's goalkeeper Sándor Szabó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Budapest's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jordi Meijer hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, De Pelgrims's Elbert Spanjer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sándor Szabó made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Sándor Szabó took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Ginneken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sándor Szabó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Talsma in the 38th minute of play. Dirk Talsma took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sándor Szabó. Sándor Szabó dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Sándor Szabó didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elbert Spanjer went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. The FC Budapest players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. De Pelgrims were winning 0-8.

After 51 played minutes FC Budapest got a freekick which was hit by Róbert Sóti. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elbert Spanjer in the 51st minute of play forced FC Budapest's goalkeeper Sándor Szabó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as De Pelgrims's Kurt Ginneken slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sándor Szabó. That made the score 0-9 after 55 minutes of play. After 61 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Donny van Schaik. Sándor Szabó didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dirk Talsma went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the FC Budapest defense, Elbert Spanjer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sándor Szabó. The FC Budapest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sándor Szabó should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koos Keupink in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sándor Szabó saved FC Budapest from getting behind. De Pelgrims's Koos Keupink was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 75th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Ginneken in the 78th minute of play forced FC Budapest's goalkeeper Sándor Szabó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Budapest getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Róbert Sóti hit a great ball. FC Budapest's Sándor Szabó played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elbert Spanjer in the 82nd minute of play. Dávid Katona kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, De Pelgrims's Kurt Ginneken dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-13. In the 87th minute, Elbert Spanjer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sándor Szabó. The goal made the score 0-14. The crowd rose to their feet as De Pelgrims's Elbert Spanjer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sándor Szabó. That made the score 0-15 after 90 minutes of play.
