Özdemir Babayiğit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josias Morf, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 1-1 became the score in the 26th minute when Josias Morf elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 29th minute, but Michael Fridli got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Zelg FC hanging dry this time. Zelg FC's attentive Michael Karlen managed to snatch the ball when Richárd Lehoczky made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Lars Mazza's late challenge caught a Szajk LC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lars Mazza helped the player get up and apologised. Lars Mazza hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josias Morf made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Josias Morf had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Özdemir Babayiğit. Szajk LC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josias Morf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Michael Fridli came out of the goal and Miklós Bogdán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the game, Lajos Szuper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Michael Fridli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Szajk LC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
