Adilson Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Chico Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Iron Maiden Football's zone, Doni Catarinense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Santana came out of the goal and Doni Catarinense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Adilson Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iron Maiden Football's protests and gave Adilson Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Doni Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iron Maiden Football's goalkeeper Marcos Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Iron Maiden Football defense, Zé Paulo Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Santana. The Iron Maiden Football fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Santana should have stopped the shot. Marcos Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Rossi in the 17th minute of play. Doni Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurinho Neves hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Zé Paulo Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Adilson Silveira was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The audience was convinced that Zé Paulo Ramos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Santana was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paulo Rossi in the 35th minute of play forced Iron Maiden Football's goalkeeper Marcos Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Habilirows's Zé Paulo Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Doni Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Habilirows fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doni Catarinense couldn't finish the play. Zé Paulo Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Paulo Ramos ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Paulo Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Santana having to interfere. Maurinho Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Habilirows's Zé Paulo Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Paulo Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Paulo Ramos ran back to his position shaking his head. Doni Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Marcos Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Iron Maiden Football's Marcos Santana got control of the ball when Pedro Paulo Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vicente Fernandez's late challenge caught a Habilirows's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Fernandez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Iron Maiden Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Doni Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ronaldo Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Iron Maiden Football fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Habilirows's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
