The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Agnaldo Mendes made a precise shot to the right of Serafim Neiva. Flamengo CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 13 played minutes Flamengo CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Magno de Amorim. Mário Maranhense hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Fábio Salgado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Serafim Neiva firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fábio Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Serafim Neiva made a huge save. Bobbo á Neystabø's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafim Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fábio Salgado got free with Serafim Neiva in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovani Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Marcelinho Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Salgado in the 28th minute of play forced Flamengo CIMZ's goalkeeper Serafim Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Agnaldo Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A. A. SAQUAREMA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 45th match minute, Flamengo CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tião Alcântara to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the game, Bobbo á Neystabø cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Serafim Neiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st match minute, Flamengo CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovani Negri to maneuver through the defense. If Agnaldo Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafim Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Fábio Salgado notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Flamengo CIMZ's Serafim Neiva. Serafim Neiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Flamengo CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match.
