Gurjao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 11 minutes, Kiko Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter Gala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiko Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 12 minutes, Magno Matorin made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Gurjao's David Pitta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Magno Matorin scored 0-3 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Pitta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th minute, Zé Paulo Fernandez made a precise shot to the right of David Pitta. Gurjao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Magno Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Paulo Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. David Pitta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter Gala. 29 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. David Pitta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute Zé Paulo Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sílvio Luís da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Luís da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Pitta having to interfere. Inter Gala's Kiko Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Matorin in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Sílvio Luís da Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Pitta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Alan Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter Gala's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Pitta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Zé Paulo Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Inter Gala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paulo Fernandez couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leandro Mota was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Hoffmann got free with David Pitta in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Gurjao getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Leandro Mota hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Zé Paulo Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Pitta. Gurjao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Paulo Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Magno Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. David Pitta was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Kiko Salles capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kiko Salles really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Magno Matorin took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for David Pitta to make any attempt to save it. Inter Gala made a substitution. Giovanni Linhares replaced Rui Favoretto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Marinho in the 72nd minute of play forced Inter Gala's goalkeeper Naldo Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Pitta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inter Gala made a substitution. Reinaldo Dracena replaced Magno Matorin. Kiko Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but David Pitta made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Zé Paulo Fernandez made a precise shot to the right of David Pitta. Gurjao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. After 85 played minutes Gurjao got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Mota. Kiko Salles took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Pitta. David Pitta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-13. David Pitta made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Zé Paulo Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. Gurjao's David Pitta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Gurjao from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the game, Kiko Salles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-14. David Pitta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th minute of the match, Reinaldo Dracena tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but David Pitta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Inter Gala's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
