Cássio Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 15th minute, Ruy Berger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betinho Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gilvan Galvão's late challenge caught a Alvinegro Carioca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilvan Galvão helped the player get up and apologised. Gilvan Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz Diniz came free, but Betinho Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Gilvan Galvão almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alvinegro Carioca's Cássio Aguiar did a great save. In the 26th match minute, TIMETER EC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Augusto Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the TIMETER EC -DMZ- defense, Rony Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betinho Paiva. The TIMETER EC -DMZ- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betinho Paiva should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute Ruy Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Ruy Berger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Betinho Paiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Elói Borges was substituted for Dráuzio Proença. The TIMETER EC -DMZ- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alvinegro Carioca were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Haroldo Zanette made the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute, Gonçalo Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Yan das Neves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Betinho Paiva. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yan das Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Betinho Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save TIMETER EC -DMZ- from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Zanette in the 86th minute of play forced Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper Cássio Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betinho Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
