The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cido Koehler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 8th minute, Oscar Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cido Koehler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Régis Coutinho's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. During the 12th minute of the match Oscar Massa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Oscar Massa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 13th match minute, FC St. Pauli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Massa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Coutinho in the 17th minute of play forced CENZI's goalkeeper Cido Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th play minute Vitinho Leme came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vicente Toscano. 1-0. In the 24th match minute, CENZI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Galvão to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Régis Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cido Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Ricardo Rocha hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 47 minutes of play, FC St. Pauli's Régis Coutinho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cido Koehler was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The crowd rose to their feet as Régis Coutinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cido Koehler. That made the score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Régis Coutinho in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cido Koehler saved CENZI from getting behind. Bruninho Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Régis Coutinho lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Cido Koehler. CENZI's Cido Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Régis Coutinho in the 77th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mathias das Neves during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th match minute, FC St. Pauli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias das Neves to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Mathias das Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Mathias das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC St. Pauli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias das Neves couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the game, FC St. Pauli's Régis Coutinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cido Koehler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5.
