After having played for 6 minutes, Murilo Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juvenal Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Varela in the 8th minute of the match. When Itajaí Football Club's Conrado Miranda in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Kiko Tande put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo Mattos. After 16 played minutes Itajaí Football Club got a freekick which was hit by André Piovezan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrado Miranda in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Leonardo Varela was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 27 minutes into the match, Tzvetomir Gruykin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Mattos. Itajaí Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tzvetomir Gruykin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Paulo Mattos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrado Miranda in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juvenal Sergipano saved CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oswaldo Vergílio during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Itajaí Football Club booed when CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Juvenal Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conrado Miranda's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After some careless play in the Itajaí Football Club defense, Murilo Quirino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Mattos. The Itajaí Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Mattos should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, André Piovezan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Murilo Quirino notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Itajaí Football Club's Paulo Mattos. Paulo Mattos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murilo Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Tzvetomir Gruykin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Juvenal Sergipano managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Itajaí Football Club's Conrado Miranda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Conrado Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Sergipano was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Paulo Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Vergílio in the 74th minute of play. Paulo Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute.
