In the 4thth minute of the game Zézinho Bittencourt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's Gustavo Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zézinho Bittencourt scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Gonçalves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Botinho FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Zézinho Bittencourt hit a great ball. Gustavo Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovanni Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Rui Porto hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Paulo Renato Carioca made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Gonçalves. ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's goalkeeper Gustavo Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maicon Alvarenga took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Magalhães. After 37 played minutes ATLÉTICO BAHIANO got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio de Andrade. Gustavo Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Bittencourt in the 38th minute of play. Wilian Breckenfeld was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Maicon Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Gonçalves made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Zézinho Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Giovanni Machado scored to the left of an out of position Gustavo Gonçalves, making the score, 1-4. In the 61st minute Maicon Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's Gustavo Gonçalves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save ATLÉTICO BAHIANO from getting a goal against them. Nilson Ferraz's late challenge caught a ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilson Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Botinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Gonçalves was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Zézinho Bittencourt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zézinho Bittencourt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Gustavo Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
