Abelardo Fantini's late challenge caught a Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Giovanni Secco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Serginho Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giovanni Secco went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giovanni Secco to strike the kick off in the second half. When Arlindo Leão fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo FC's protests and gave Arlindo Leão a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Flamengo FC got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Leão. Through an outstanding action, after 97 minutes, Serginho Azevedo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Flamengo FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
