The supporters of Elite™- FC Galácticos booed when Clube Atletico Alagoano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Paulo de Mendonça got free with Afonsinho Nunes in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Afonsinho Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Elite™- FC Galácticos defense, Luiz Guilherme Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarbas Loyola. The Elite™- FC Galácticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarbas Loyola should have stopped the shot. Jonas Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonsinho Nunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. When José Paulo de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Elite™- FC Galácticos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Paulo de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Clube Atletico Alagoano's Diogo Leal got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Luiz Guilherme Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rdth minute of the game José Paulo de Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Atletico Alagoano's Afonsinho Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Clube Atletico Alagoano getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Neves hit a great ball. Clube Atletico Alagoano's Afonsinho Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo de Mendonça in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Luiz Guilherme Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Atletico Alagoano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elite™- FC Galácticos the free kick.
