João Adolfo Mineiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaime Souza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Jaime Souza's late challenge caught a Rockets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Souza helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rockets booed when América-SC F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Rockets's goalkeeper João Adolfo Mineiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Melo. João Adolfo Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, América-SC F.C.'s Jaime Souza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Gabi Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot. América-SC F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gabi Gol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Adolfo Mineiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the game, Jaime Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. João Adolfo Mineiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute, América-SC F.C.'s Jaime Souza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Adolfo Mineiro. João Adolfo Mineiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. João Adolfo Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Souza in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, América-SC F.C.'s Jaime Souza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. In the 35th minute, América-SC F.C.'s Gabi Gol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Adolfo Mineiro. João Adolfo Mineiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-0. In the 39th minute Gabi Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Adolfo Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tostão Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Adolfo Mineiro having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, América-SC F.C.'s Tostão Mineiro made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Adolfo Mineiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tostão Mineiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and João Adolfo Mineiro could save by the left post.
After 52 minutes of play, América-SC F.C.'s Jaime Souza made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Adolfo Mineiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! João Adolfo Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Souza in the 55th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Jaime Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Adolfo Mineiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. João Adolfo Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Souza in the 59th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Jaime Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rockets's João Adolfo Mineiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Souza took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Adolfo Mineiro. João Adolfo Mineiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. 65 minutes into the game, Rockets's Gilvan Chaves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nestor Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-1. After a defensive mix-up in Rockets's zone, Jaime Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Adolfo Mineiro came out of the goal and Jaime Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabi Gol took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Adolfo Mineiro. João Adolfo Mineiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-1. João Adolfo Mineiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabi Gol went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 13-1 was the resulting score. 77 minutes into the match, Jaime Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Adolfo Mineiro. Rockets's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-1. João Adolfo Mineiro came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by América-SC F.C.'s Tostão Mineiro. But to his dismay, Tostão Mineiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 15-1. In the 84th minute, Jaime Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The América-SC F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 16-1. João Adolfo Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tostão Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Jaime Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 17-1. João Adolfo Mineiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. América-SC F.C. had played much better football throughout.
