Mateo Berenguer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mateo Berenguer came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by BICHO neuquino's Ambrosio Maxin. But to his dismay, Ambrosio Maxin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 38th match minute, El Dragón del Sur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Etxepare to maneuver through the defense. Ambrosio Maxin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Teobaldo Honesto fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Dragón del Sur's protests and gave Teobaldo Honesto a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes El Dragón del Sur got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Honesto. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastian Asier to strike the kick off in the second half. El Dragón del Sur's Mateo Berenguer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save El Dragón del Sur from getting a goal against them. A collision led to El Dragón del Sur getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Basilio Aimar hit a great ball. El Dragón del Sur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guaberto Olayo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 69 minutes into the game, Ambrosio Maxin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Mateo Berenguer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mateo Berenguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Maxin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of El Dragón del Sur booed when BICHO neuquino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Olayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Cirilo Lekubegi managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Dragón del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Cirilo Lekubegi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Manni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. BICHO neuquino's Elpidio Goito was substituted for Leo Oxarra. After 84 played minutes BICHO neuquino got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Olayo. Mateo Berenguer was a little too slow when Ambrosio Maxin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-7.
