Yevgen Kalashnikov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Sendoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Lothar Matthäus dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Sendoa, 1-0. David Sendoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lothar Matthäus in the 26th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yevgen Kalashnikov to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Godofredo Benitez in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chacarita Futsal's Armando Navarro.
