In the 5th minute, Gogo Brun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute Ildefonso Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Santiago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th match minute, SHIZUOKA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Senen to maneuver through the defense. Antonello Roccuzzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Patricio Peruxu made a huge save. SHIZUOKA FC's Cristobal Santiago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Abel in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, SHIZUOKA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Abel came free, but Cristobal Santiago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Moreno Beltrán dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Patricio Peruxu, 1-0. With an all-out effort, SHIZUOKA FC's Patricio Peruxu threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antonello Roccuzzo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cristobal Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Abel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ildefonso Abel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute Ildefonso Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Santiago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moreno Beltrán could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Patricio Peruxu made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Ildefonso Abel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SHIZUOKA FC's Cristobal Santiago. Cristobal Santiago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonello Roccuzzo in the 40th minute of play forced Sportivo Sernova's goalkeeper Patricio Peruxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Sernova's Ildefonso Abel got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Patricio Peruxu came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by SHIZUOKA FC's Moreno Beltrán. But to his dismay, Moreno Beltrán quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 45th minute, Antonello Roccuzzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Evelio Olivar hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Patricio Peruxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Roccuzzo in the 57th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesús De La Cruz during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sportivo Sernova booed when SHIZUOKA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesús De La Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ildefonso Abel scored 2-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristobal Santiago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ildefonso Abel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristobal Santiago having to make a save. SHIZUOKA FC's Cristobal Santiago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Abel in the 66th minute of play. With a little luck, SHIZUOKA FC's Cristobal Santiago got control of the ball when Ildefonso Abel tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to SHIZUOKA FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jesús De La Cruz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SHIZUOKA FC's zone, Ildefonso Abel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Santiago came out of the goal and Ildefonso Abel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristobal Santiago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Abel in the 72nd minute of the match. Eusebio Garcia's late challenge caught a SHIZUOKA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusebio Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 81 minutes, Lucio Donzel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Sernova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Donzel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Peruxu came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by SHIZUOKA FC's Antonello Roccuzzo. But to his dismay, Antonello Roccuzzo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. After 89 minutes of play, SHIZUOKA FC's Antonello Roccuzzo made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patricio Peruxu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evelio Olivar lost his temper 96 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of SHIZUOKA FC booed when Sportivo Sernova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Olivar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SHIZUOKA FC had won after a very even match.
