The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylwester Domaradzki in the 9th minute of play forced Paikín's goalkeeper Everardo Rodas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Manni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Everardo Rodas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Paikín's Emanuel Guifre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 16th minute, Sylwester Domaradzki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villa Ballester FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to Paikín getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Baltasar Toribio hit a great ball. Everardo Rodas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylwester Domaradzki, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Paikín's Everardo Rodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylwester Domaradzki in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Paikín's Placido Brais got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Alejandro Preda who after having made a long run got a chance for a shot on goal. Despite a couple of nice moves Everardo Rodas's wasn't to be fooled and made an easy save when Alejandro Preda was beeing forced to shoot. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paikín's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alejandro Preda was slow to take the kick. During this time Villa Ballester FC's players had a chance to rest. Villa Ballester FC's Alejandro Preda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Everardo Rodas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Villa Ballester FC's Freddy Markel got control of the ball when Emanuel Guifre tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Paikín's corner Ciriaco Guilabertus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Freddy Markel quite easily take care of the ball. Lorenzo Birjaio scored 2-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freddy Markel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Guifre in the 65th minute of play forced Villa Ballester FC's goalkeeper Freddy Markel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Emanuel Guifre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Freddy Markel. Villa Ballester FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Guifre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
