Sonny Safer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thor Forssberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teofilo Aztore got free with Raul Jax in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's attentive Leon Tono managed to snatch the ball when Benjamin Oinaz made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Aureliano Hunfredo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Wasabi FC's Sonny Safer. Sonny Safer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Alejo Loren quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Benjamin Oinaz, made in the 22nd minute of the game. If Aureliano Hunfredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thor Forssberg scored 1-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sonny Safer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Wasabi FC's Teobaldo Gutierrez got a free kick in the 32nd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thor Forssberg couldn't finish the play. Javier Salvatore charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Javier Salvatore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
