Cepicó FC's Tobias Abalos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Isidro Emenon, made in the 14th minute of the game. Pascual Acosta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Salamon, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Roque Henrico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Ugaitz. Cepicó FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roque Henrico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of Cepicó FC booed when Estudiantes de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Henrico didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cepicó FC's Iker Ugaitz got control of the ball when Roque Henrico tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Cepicó FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Larra to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Roque Henrico could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Iker Ugaitz however easily saved by the left post. Orlando Beltza hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Estudiantes de América's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
