Cleto Leguizamón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Nestor Vigil made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Fecha Libre's David Bingen got a free kick in the 18th minute. A collision led to Fecha Libre getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Juliane Alvarez hit a great ball. With a little luck, Fecha Libre's Nestor Vigil got control of the ball when German Senen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fecha Libre's Luis Rio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valentin Sergi, made in the 30th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, Castelar F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Iaki came free, but Arnulfo Piarres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match, Sixto Kusko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nestor Vigil saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Fecha Libre getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Luis Rio hit a great ball. Arnulfo Piarres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Iaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute, Fecha Libre's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sixto Kusko fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ovidio Iaki to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Fecha Libre's Isidro Celio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnulfo Piarres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. German Senen took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Vigil. Nestor Vigil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 61st minute, German Senen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Ale Garna took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Arnulfo Piarres to make any attempt to save it. With his leg Arnulfo Piarres managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Fecha Libre's Ale Garna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 72 played minutes Fecha Libre got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Leizarraga. Arnulfo Piarres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ale Garna in the 74th minute of the match. Castelar F.C.'s Arnulfo Piarres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ale Garna in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ale Garna in the 75th minute of play forced Castelar F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnulfo Piarres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Abeitia in the 82nd minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Nestor Vigil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidro Celio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Arnulfo Piarres made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Arnulfo Piarres successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 91st minute Sixto Kusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Vigil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Castelar F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnulfo Piarres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ovidio Iaki. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
