After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Anselmo Arnas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Esdras came out of the goal and Anselmo Arnas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Julian Birila. When Anselmo Arnas fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Cavern Club's protests and gave Anselmo Arnas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, The Cavern Club's Anselmo Arnas got a free kick in the 15th minute. 23 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's Severo Hunfredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Esdras narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fermin Iraido made a great header on The Cavern Club's corner, it was just that Palermo's Marcos Esdras managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ulises Urtats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thanks to some nice moves Jacinto Mino could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Prospero Aballe however easily saved by the left post. Prospero Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patryk Wiater in the 40th minute of play. Jacinto Mino kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, The Cavern Club's Severo Hunfredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Esdras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 48th minute Anselmo Arnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Esdras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jhonny Del Fierro made a kick off. Marcos Esdras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severo Hunfredo in the 57th minute. Palermo's Marcos Esdras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Arnas in the 59th minute of play. During this time The Cavern Club's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Teagan Petukas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Esdras quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 76th minute Jhonny Del Fierro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Severo Hunfredo put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Esdras. The Cavern Club's Ulises Urtats got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lorenzo Ongile kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Marcos Esdras made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Severo Hunfredo sent off a good shot on target. The Cavern Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
