The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esteban Giraldo was a little too slow when Orlando Vargas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. When Roberto Manuelo came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Gordioro Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Manuelo couldn't finish the play. Esteban Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Tiniebra in the 8th minute of the match. After 10 minutes, Guido Kusko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chañaritos AFC and the Gordioro Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gordioro Futbol Club booed when Chañaritos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Kusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Roberto Manuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 minutes, Martin Haimar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chañaritos AFC and the Gordioro Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Chañaritos AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gordioro Futbol Club:s goal. The goalkeeper, Esteban Giraldo, was totally fooled by Gordioro Futbol Club's Eusebio Dominix, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Orlando Vargas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Esteban Giraldo made a huge save. In the 20th minute of the match Gordioro Futbol Club got a corner. Chañaritos AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eusebio Dominix ran over to the corner to take the kick. Clemente Tiniebra made a great header on Gordioro Futbol Club's corner, it was just that Chañaritos AFC's Esteban Giraldo managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 24th minute, Timoteo Sandalio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th match minute, Chañaritos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Belo to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Chañaritos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Manuelo came free, but Esteban Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Manuelo in the 46th minute of play forced Chañaritos AFC's goalkeeper Esteban Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Chañaritos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Manuelo came free, but Esteban Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteban Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Tiniebra in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gordioro Futbol Club's Orlando Vargas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Chañaritos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Tiniebra came free, but Esteban Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteban Giraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Manuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Omero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Benjamin Sazon made a huge save. Chañaritos AFC's Timoteo Sandalio got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Chañaritos AFC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Timoteo Sandalio hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Manuelo in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteban Giraldo saved Chañaritos AFC from getting behind. Clemente Tiniebra struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Esteban Giraldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gordioro Futbol Club. If Clemente Tiniebra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Roberto Manuelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Kusko in the 88th minute of play forced Gordioro Futbol Club's goalkeeper Benjamin Sazon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebio Dominix kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Gordioro Futbol Club's Benjamin Sazon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Sandalio in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute Roberto Manuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gordioro Futbol Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
