Teodoro Reyes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Charles in the 16th minute of the match. Teodoro Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Sergi in the 17th minute of play. Teodoro Reyes made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Damaso Baldovino sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Konurbano Atletico getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Pedro Fagildo hit a great ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Damaso Baldovino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scaloneta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Baldovino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute Everardo Ezkerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Raebert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustacio Raebert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Ponce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Konurbano Atletico's goalkeeper Teodoro Reyes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Charles. A collision led to Konurbano Atletico getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ezequiel Dominguez hit a great ball. Romulo Sergi might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro Reyes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romulo Sergi ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the game, Esequiel Barco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scaloneta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Konurbano Atletico the free kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Cresitobalo was the one to do the kick off. Teodoro Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Cresitobalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Charles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Reyes came out of the goal and Damaso Baldovino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Desiderio Etxekopar during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes Konurbano Atletico got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Etxekopar. In the 74th minute, Angelo Cresitobalo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Reyes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Scaloneta FC booed when Konurbano Atletico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Scaloneta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Robert Ayala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Konurbano Atletico booed when Scaloneta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Furman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Roberto Charles fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scaloneta FC's protests and gave Roberto Charles a yellow card for diving instead. Roberto Charles hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Konurbano Atletico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
