The audience was convinced that Benigno Elija's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eusebio Fe was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Eusebio Fe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Paublo in the 90th minute of play. Evaristo Brion kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Leonel Messi took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eusebio Fe. Eusebio Fe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. With an all-out effort, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Freddy Mercurio threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Delmar Ostadar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
