With an all-out effort, Grütly's Victorino Haimar threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Evaristo Guillem, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in De Boedo Vengo's zone, Abel Polo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Haimar came out of the goal and Abel Polo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Feliberto Batista fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grütly's protests and gave Feliberto Batista a yellow card for diving instead. When the final whistle sounded De Boedo Vengo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grütly.
