After 2 played minutes Tango en Miami FC got a freekick which was hit by Carson McCann. 6 minutes into the game, Graham Kearney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Johnathon Gallo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Mankato defense, Walker Elliot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnathon Gallo. The Mankato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnathon Gallo should have stopped the shot. Walker Elliot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johnathon Gallo having to make a save. Johnathon Gallo came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Tango en Miami FC's Walker Elliot. But to his dismay, Walker Elliot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, Tango en Miami FC's Carson McCann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnathon Gallo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Francisco Temple had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johnathon Gallo. Mankato's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Temple was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 47 played minutes, Tango en Miami FC's Carson McCann shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tango en Miami FC reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Graham Kearney to strike the kick off in the second half. Rudolf Sherman hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Mankato's attentive Armando Zuniga managed to snatch the ball when Graham Kearney made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. Johnathon Gallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miles Person, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Graham Kearney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Johnathon Gallo made a huge save. Johnathon Gallo was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Graham Kearney capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Graham Kearney really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. In the 89th minute, Monty McBride hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnathon Gallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miles Person in the 92nd minute of play. Graham Kearney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Johnathon Gallo made a huge save. Tango en Miami FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
