Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) C. A. Independiente's Bob Griffith started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A sloppy throw-in by Marco Portero in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C. A. Independiente's Diego Cagna. After 10 played minutes Penuel Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Papo Repiso. Bob Griffith took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorio Detres. Victorio Detres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faron Cenal got free with Ubaldo Fillol in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Penuel Football Club's Rafel Mejia got a free kick in the 17th minute. A collision led to Penuel Football Club getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Marco Portero hit a great ball. Victorio Detres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastián Rambert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan José López kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Victorio Detres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Griffith in the 23rd minute of the match. Elliot Orozco kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes Penuel Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Marco Portero. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Penuel Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Papo Repiso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorio Detres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Griffith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 29th minute, but Ubaldo Fillol got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving C. A. Independiente hanging dry this time. 31 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Bob Griffith came free, but Victorio Detres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Marco Portero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Penuel Football Club's Marco Portero got a free kick in the 37th minute. Sebastián Rambert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, C. A. Independiente's Bob Griffith got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half C. A. Independiente were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faron Cenal made a kick off. Penuel Football Club's Victorio Detres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Penuel Football Club from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, Sebastián Rambert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorio Detres. Penuel Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastián Rambert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With his leg Victorio Detres managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when C. A. Independiente's Sebastián Rambert fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Penuel Football Club's Marco Portero got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Victorio Detres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastián Rambert. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Penuel Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan José López didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Sebastián Rambert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorio Detres. Penuel Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastián Rambert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Penuel Football Club made a substitution. Fernando Cavenaghi replaced Faron Cenal. Yu Jing Kun's late challenge caught a C. A. Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yu Jing Kun helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Penuel Football Club! Victorio Detres had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Bob Griffith's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 77th minute, Bob Griffith left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Jing Kun in the 81st minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Ubaldo Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Sebastián Rambert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bob Griffith came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the C. A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bob Griffith couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastián Rambert came free, but Victorio Detres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ortzi Elizondo hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Chants of C. A. Independiente echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Penuel Football Club had held the ball for most of the match.
