José Ignacio Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jhonny Rabelo in the 3rd minute of the match. José Ignacio Rocha came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by ÇLÜB DĘPØRTÏVØ FÏMØR's Jorge-Luis Borges. But to his dismay, Jorge-Luis Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Francisco Martín Serón's late challenge caught a ÇLÜB DĘPØRTÏVØ FÏMØR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Martín Serón helped the player get up and apologised. If Alcides López had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Ignacio Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge-Luis Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan-Carlos Cervantes scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Ignacio Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eztebe Lozares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Ignacio Rocha having to make a save. Edgardo Abdallah hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The supporters of ÇLÜB DĘPØRTÏVØ FÏMØR booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lothar Matthæus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Juan-Carlos Cervantes came free, but José Ignacio Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eztebe Lozares in the 30th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper José Ignacio Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jhonny Rabelo scored 0-3 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Ignacio Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute Eztebe Lozares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ignacio Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Lothar Matthæus got a free kick in the 35th minute. Eztebe Lozares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Ignacio Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match ÇLÜB DĘPØRTÏVØ FÏMØR got a corner. Inter de Chillán's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eusebio Ceitegui ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led ÇLÜB DĘPØRTÏVØ FÏMØR's Eusebio Ceitegui to fire away a dangerous shot which José Ignacio Rocha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 41 minutes into the game, ÇLÜB DĘPØRTÏVØ FÏMØR's Jorge-Luis Borges nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Ignacio Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. With a little luck, ÇLÜB DĘPØRTÏVØ FÏMØR's Jesus Emilianu got control of the ball when Alcides López tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge-Luis Borges made a kick off. José Ignacio Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eztebe Lozares in the 54th minute of the match. Jhonny Rabelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but José Ignacio Rocha made a huge save. In the 72nd minute, Juan-Carlos Cervantes made a precise shot to the right of José Ignacio Rocha. Inter de Chillán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. José Ignacio Rocha was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Ruud van Nistelrooij capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ruud van Nistelrooij really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. José Ignacio Rocha came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by ÇLÜB DĘPØRTÏVØ FÏMØR's Juan-Carlos Cervantes. But to his dismay, Juan-Carlos Cervantes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eztebe Lozares got free with José Ignacio Rocha in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Jhonny Rabelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Ignacio Rocha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. José Ignacio Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ÇLÜB DĘPØRTÏVØ FÏMØR's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
