After a rather tough play, Socavon FC's Timothy Flyte got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 12 played minutes Mountain West FC got a freekick which was hit by Scot Tate. Oxarra Guillemez might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roy Holman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oxarra Guillemez ran back to his position shaking his head. Roy Holman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferran Rial's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Ferran Rial scored 0-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roy Holman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Steve Mata hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Giuseppe Baresi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roy Holman skillfully saved the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When Lisandro Bricianos fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Thanks to some nice moves Ferran Rial could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Roy Holman however easily saved by the left post. With his leg Roy Holman managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Socavon FC's Ferran Rial fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Socavon FC booed when Mountain West FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roy Holman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Baresi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Intxixu Huarte received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roy Holman came out and tried to block the shot, but Intxixu Huarte slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 76th minute. If Intxixu Huarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roy Holman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferran Rial in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Ferran Rial dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roy Holman, 0-5. 92 minutes into the match, Intxixu Huarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roy Holman. Mountain West FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Intxixu Huarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Roy Holman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ferran Rial showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 96 minute of play. Socavon FC played a much better game than Mountain West FC and deserved their victory. The Mountain West FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
