The audience was convinced that Petr Gornikov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 徐云诚 was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Shymkent Camels's Lev Biryukov got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Andrey Kostin took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for 徐云诚 to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petr Gornikov got free with 徐云诚 in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If 白珂康 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Petr Efremov fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shymkent Camels's protests and gave Petr Efremov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Petr Efremov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Shymkent Camels walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
