Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Efekan Benlioğlu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Orçun Baloğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Arif Hacı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Ulu Özkutsal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newells Old Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kömürspor the free kick. After a rather tough play, Newells Old Boys's Ulu Özkutsal got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 16th match minute, Kömürspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şahap Urgun to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the game, Efekan Benlioğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Zülfikar Fırıncı was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th match minute, Kömürspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Ali Vecihi to maneuver through the defense. Erdoğan Ongu hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Efekan Benlioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Orçun Baloğlu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arif Hacı. That made the score 2-1 in the 33 minute of play. Newells Old Boys's Zülfikar Fırıncı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efekan Benlioğlu in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Kömürspor's goal looked a bit too open when Mevlüt Zeyrek came free, but Arif Hacı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mirkelam Periz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Arif Hacı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mevlüt Zeyrek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Hacı having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orçun Baloğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ulu Özkutsal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Kömürspor's Zülfikar Fırıncı threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yıldırım Halıcıoğlu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Mirkelam Periz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gani Şikel kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Gani Şikel came free, but Zülfikar Fırıncı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Newells Old Boys's Zülfikar Fırıncı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gani Şikel in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yıldırım Halıcıoğlu in the 69th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Zülfikar Fırıncı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zülfikar Fırıncı didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Efekan Benlioğlu went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. If Mevlüt Zeyrek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mevlüt Zeyrek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Hacı having to interfere. Gani Şikel took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zülfikar Fırıncı. Zülfikar Fırıncı dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 89 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Zülfikar Fırıncı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Efekan Benlioğlu. Arif Hacı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mevlüt Zeyrek in the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Kömürspor left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Newells Old Boys.
