After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Serkan Yaltıray managed to get in a good position for a shot. When Aytunç Kelim came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aytunç Kelim couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Ferman Kaplan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Suat Şahinkan. The goal made the score 1-0. 24 minutes into the game, Karadeniz Ereğli S.K.'s Ferman Kaplan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Suat Şahinkan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 28 played minutes KAOS got a freekick which was hit by Recep Balcan. Suat Şahinkan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cuma Gökçek in the 30th minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Mümtaz Adal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karadeniz Ereğli S.K.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Mümtaz Adal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ferman Kaplan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Suat Şahinkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Güralp Bedük in the 40th minute of the match. The KAOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Suat Şahinkan should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aytunç Kelim in the 59th minute of play forced KAOS's goalkeeper Suat Şahinkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serkan Yaltıray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atıf Hızlı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Suat Şahinkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. a penalty, 75 minutes into the game.
