But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pitt Hole couldn't finish the play. When Harry Lindgren fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Eskilstuna's protests and gave Harry Lindgren a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Youth Academy Of Rhye booed when AFC Eskilstuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Lindgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claes Nordmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pitt Hole in the 13th minute of play. Nils-Åke Willig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Kurt Hamrin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Youth Academy Of Rhye fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Youth Academy Of Rhye's Henrik Hedenskog sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claes Nordmark narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Ulf Rydberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Eskilstuna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Youth Academy Of Rhye the free kick. Ulf Rydberg hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Fred Kruuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Claes Nordmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Wennerquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Malmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to Youth Academy Of Rhye getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Egon Boberg hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolf Ekström got free with Robert Wennerquist in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henrik Hedenskog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Nordmark having to interfere. Claes Nordmark didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pitt Hole went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 48thth minute of the game Pitt Hole who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Eskilstuna's Claes Nordmark was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolf Ekström was the one to do the kick off. Pitt Hole in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claes Nordmark, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pitt Hole received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fred Kruuse might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claes Nordmark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The supporters of Youth Academy Of Rhye booed when AFC Eskilstuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Malmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute, AFC Eskilstuna's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Henrik Hedenskog fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 92 minutes into the game, Egon Boberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
